Transparency is central to everything we publish. This policy explains how we create, review, and maintain content at AIToolRanked.

Our Editorial Standards
Articles in our search-indexed library cite checkable sources in a Sources section: published benchmarks, vendor documentation and pricing pages, and — for AI coding tools — the site's own logged review data. We never claim first-hand testing that did not happen. In September 2026 we removed from search every article that did not meet this standard.
Explicit About Testing
Where an article reports first-hand testing, it states exactly what was run and on what. Our AI coding comparisons draw on logged production code reviews; everything else is attributed to its published source. Articles that are research roundups say so.
Vendor Claims Are Labelled
Most articles are research roundups, not lab tests. When a figure comes from a vendor (pricing, limits, benchmark scores), the article attributes it to that vendor and links the source, so readers can check it.
Where Our Own Data Exists
Our only first-hand measurements are in the AI coding benchmark articles, which are based on logged code-review runs on a real codebase. Those articles describe exactly what was run. No other article claims hands-on testing.
Content Creation Process
AIToolRanked is a one-person publication run by Rai Ansar. This is how articles are actually produced.
1. Research
Research draws from product documentation, pricing pages, developer changelogs, official announcements and public benchmark leaderboards. Those pages are linked in each article's Sources section.
2. Drafting with AI assistance
Drafts are written with the help of large language models working from those sources. Tools are not hands-on tested unless the article says so and shows the results (currently only the AI coding benchmark articles).
3. Writing
Section headings are framed as the questions readers ask, and each section opens with a short direct answer, so the article answers the query without padding.
4. Fact check and publication
Before an article is kept in our indexed library, its specific claims (prices, limits, model versions, benchmark numbers) are checked against the linked primary sources, volatile facts are dated, and claims that cannot be verified are removed. Automated daily publishing was switched off in September 2026; new articles are published only after this review.
AI-Assisted Content Disclosure
AIToolRanked uses AI tools, including large language models, to assist in content creation. We believe transparency about this process is essential.
How We Use AI in Our Workflow
- --AI assists with research aggregation, draft generation, and content structuring
- --Automated publishing is off: nothing is published without review against the cited sources
- --From March to September 2026 an automated pipeline published about one AI-drafted article a day. Articles from that period that could not be sourced and checked have been removed from search
- --Recommendations are based on the cited sources, not on testing we did not do
Our position: AI assistance is a drafting tool, not a source. An article is only as good as the sources it links, which is why every article in our indexed library links them.
Review Independence
Editorial independence is non-negotiable. Our reviews exist to inform readers, not to promote vendors.
- --No paid reviews: We do not accept payment in exchange for reviews, ratings, or favorable coverage
- --Affiliate transparency: Some articles contain affiliate links. These links do not influence our ratings, recommendations, or editorial conclusions. Affiliate relationships are disclosed where applicable
- --Merit-based evaluation: Every tool is assessed on features, pricing, performance, reliability, and user experience. We apply the same criteria regardless of whether the tool vendor has a business relationship with us
- --Sponsored content: Any sponsored or paid content is clearly labeled as such. As of the current date, AIToolRanked has no sponsored content
Accuracy and Updates
The AI tool landscape changes rapidly. A review written today can become outdated within weeks. We take the following steps to keep our content reliable.
Version-Aware Coverage
When a tool releases a major update that affects features, pricing, or performance, we update our coverage to reflect the current state. Volatile facts such as prices and model versions carry the month they were checked.
Pricing Verification
Prices are taken from official product pages, linked in the Sources section and dated, because they change often.
Correction Policy
Factual errors are corrected promptly once identified. Corrections are noted within the article so readers can see what changed and when. We do not silently alter published content.
Content Lifecycle
Content that is no longer accurate or relevant is either refreshed with current information or removed from search (noindexed) and dropped from our navigation.
Contact and Corrections
We welcome feedback from readers and tool developers. If you find an error in our content or believe a review does not accurately represent a tool, we want to hear from you.
